As of late the people of Turkey have had some problems with their government system and have been rioting against them. This has caused the government to begin to crack down on the people and begin taking away privileges. This taking away though has been going on almost since 2007 when YouTube was banned in the country. This has outraged many people in Turkey as you may understand. Here in America we have almost no bans on the internet which allows us to have freedom online and do whatever we want. We can go watch funny cat videos or tweet something ridiculous with too many hashtags, but in Turkey they use the internet for a few things that are a little different.
The people of Turkey have been coming together on the social network Twitter to form groups for protest. They would use the site to send out a tweet saying when and where a protest will take place. As the government became more aware of this they began closing off social networking sites to their own people to try to stop the protests. But there is always a way that some one finds that will allow the use of these restricted social networks.
Originally all a person in Turkey would have to do is change their DNS, their domain name system, to an open DNS outside of Turkey. Many used Google’s public DNS (8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4) to continue using social networks. So people began to plaster the DNS IP address all over the place as seen here. Now these DNS changes are not working, so to get to the website one would have to use a VPN (virtual private network). A VPN allows a user to, in a way, trick any trackers into thinking that they are a computer in a different country with a different IP address. This allow them to use any site that is unblocked in the country which their IP is spoofed from.
Personally I think that it would be insane to have a government that tried to control what I do on the internet. Now there is the NSA but that is nothing compared to what Tukey’s government is doing to their citizens. They are trying to have absolute control over what their people are doing and that just is not right. People should have the freedom to express and do what they want. Nobody wants to be held back and people want their freedom.

Sherman's Flaw
The article in question is here.
This article tells about the interview were Richard Sherman began to freak out on the reporter who was speaking with him, saying that he was the best corner in the NFL. But surprisingly he only got reported to the FCC one time. While the FCC received still only received five total complaints about the Seahawks v. 49ers. There are many people who were even offended by Sherman's remarks.
The fact that people were offended by these remarks shows how far to the extreme that Sherman went. Also showing his ambition to show that he was the best corner in the NFL. But this ambition and the comments he used to say that he was the best really showed me how negative ambition can be. He degraded himself by stating what he said in the manor that he said it. He made it seem as if the Seahawks winning had gone straight to his head.

The First Production
I’m striving to be different, just
like everyone else. My name is Cole Nelson and this will be the first
production for my blog. I am a runner at Creighton Prep in Omaha. I am more of
a quite person but I can really branch out and be a social person. I like to
think of myself more as a gamer in my free time when I am not working on huge
amounts of homework and studying to try and stay afloat in school. Originally I
came from Council Bluffs, Iowa to Creighton Prep for a better education and to
hopefully further my college and career options. I am very interested in
computer security and hoping to get into a good college with a major pertaining
to that field of study. I really like the comfort of my own bedroom, which is
probably why I don’t get out much… Also, being the nerd I am. I never got to
into sports. So no favorite teams or any of that Jazz. Yeah I said, “that Jazz.”
Besides gaming in my free time I enjoy cooking and baking for my family, you
know, sweets, because we are American and all. I also enjoy participating in
capture the flag competitions, but it is not the same as what you may be
thinking. This CTF is with a team that tries to complete hacking challenges
given by the proctor of the competition. It is a very fun experience. I don't really have much to write about. I cannot
wait to post more and I hope this short post has helped you to gain a little
insight into who I am and my personality type.
